Import
In order to perform import clearance you need to submit the following documents/information:
- EORI number
To obtain an EORI number you need to log into PUESC, select the eForms tab, choose the eKlient tab, expand it and then move to → Business registration (Rejestracja podmiotu), create an account and fill in a form. - Authorization for the customs agency
Company documents:
- NIP (Tax Identification Number)
- REGON (National Register of Economic Units number)
- KRS (National Court Register) or other incorporation documents (e.g. certificate of the entry into the business record)
Documents required for import customs clearance
Pursuant to § 28 and § 29 in the Minister of Finance Regulation of 22 April 2004 concerning the detailed requirements to be fulfilled by a customs declaration (Dz.U. nr 94, poz. 902 with further amendments), the essential attachments to be submitted with the customs declaration for marketing authorization of the goods are in particular:
- an invoice or (in the case of lack of thereof) a pro forma invoice; (the invoice must contain the terms of delivery, gross/net weight, a specific number of collective packages)
- documents required in order to apply favorable tariff arrangements or other measures which may nullify certain law regulations regarding the declared goods;
- a product specification sheet or a loading list in cases where the invoice does not provide the product specification;
- an import permit, authorization or other documents (if required);
- documents allowing to determine the tax base on the imported goods in the case where the invoice or other document used to stipulate the customs value of the goods does not contain the required data;
- a certificate issued by the manufacturer or an authorized research facility providing information on the chemical and material content of the goods (up to 100%) as well as information required by the respective customs tariff subdivisions, if such a document is necessary for tariff classification of the goods;
- other documents required by separate law regulations (licenses, a phytosanitary certificate, a certificate of trade quality inspection, a certificate of sanitary inspection, a certificate of veterinary inspection).
Export
In order to perform export clearance you need to submit the following documents/information:
